ApplyProof Joins International Network for Digital Student Data Portability

ApplyProof has joined a network of higher education institutions, professional organizations, and private companies worldwide dedicated to ensuring that digital systems support international student mobility. The Groningen Declaration Network (GDN) is an international, nonprofit and voluntary network of like-minded organizations and individuals that want to make digital student data portability happen.

As a stand-alone platform developed by ApplyBoard, Canada’s fastest growing tech company, ApplyProof is a solution that deploys leading-edge technology to build trust and efficiency for stakeholders in the student journey. Millions of documents are now verifiable on ApplyProof, supporting thousands of students on their educational journey.

Established in 2012, the GDN is an outcome of several international policy and practice movements that coincided with the massive growth of international student movement across borders. Policy initiatives like the Bologna Process, which commenced in 1999 with the goal of “harmonising the architecture of the European Higher Education system” laid the groundwork by building common academic credentials and standards. The GDN, like other organizations ApplyProof engages, seeks to ensure standards and frameworks that will facilitate interoperability of digital systems supporting student documentation.
